Creative industries

reCreating Europe seeks to support the development of creative industries and to enhance access to copyright information by:

  • developing a conceptual framework for addressing adverse effects of territorial rights in the Digital Single Market;
  • studying newly emerging business models in the creative industries and the possible transformation of existing ones including effects of digitisationand copyright on small companies and the impact of low-IP environments to creativity and innovation;
  • developing new, sector-specific codes of best practices in relation to copyright that are sensitive to the specific needs of two different sets of creators: documentary filmmakers, and cultural heritage institutions offering immersive experiences online; and
  • developing an innovative and responsive EU Copyright User platform to enable creative and cultural sectors across the EU to make informed decisions on copyright issues.
