Maynooth University

The Maynooth team of Re-Creating Europe, led by P.I. Dr. Delia Ferri and Dr. Noelle Higgins, will be primarily hosted by the Department of Law, and co-hosted by the ALL Institute.

Maynooth University is internationally recognized as a leading research-led university. Since 2014, Maynooth University has sustained its place in the top 100 global universities under 50 years old, achieving a ranking of #80 in the Times Higher Education (THE) Young University Rankings.

The Department of Law at Maynooth University is the youngest yet fastest growing law school in Ireland. It favours an interdisciplinary approach to research, which is grounded in an appreciation of social, economic, and cultural contexts. The research mission of the Department encompasses areas of enquiry that broaden the traditional remit of legal research, opening up the discipline to the wider fields of human rights, global business, and social justice. The Department has been recipient of various national and EU research grants, and has strong experience in managing large-scale and participatory research projects.

The newly established and inclusive ALL institute provide an unparalleled interdisciplinary environment in order to address the complex and multifold relationship between humans and technologies. It works across disciplines, sectors, and the supply chain; with individual makers, industry, government, civil society, United Nations agencies and, most particularly, users. The ALL Institute hosts a range of different collaborative projects, including the H2020 project “SHAPES”.
